Counseling

We provide personal religious counseling (not legal or medical counseling) for a variety of situations. The sessions are held privately with Sheikh Ahmad.  Please call the center at (904) 990-5919 for an appointment.

We provide counseling in the following areas:

• Family (including individual therapy and child/teen therapy)
• Divorce counseling prior to final decision for divorce to safe marriages for the sake of children
• Marriage (prior to Nikah to better understand one another)
• Youth (Problems with parents and self-struggles)
• Inheritance & Will (We can help you write your religious and legal Will)

Mandatory: Presence of both couples and one witness from each side. Sheikh does not work as a messenger between two people. Both parties need to be present. Also, if a person has already made his/her decision then he/she doesn’t need counseling. Must complete this form Counseling Application prior to appointment. Online form is also available to fill out at the bottom of this page.

Please note: If needed, we work with legal, professional and licensed Therapists for family therapy,  individual therapy and child/teen therapy. We can always write free referrals.

Divorce

The following are the requirements needed to complete an Islamic Divorce Contract by NAC:

1. The presence of the Wife and Husband along with valid photo identification.
2. In order for the Islamic divorce to be initiated, the following must be observed:
   1. The Islamic divorce should take place after the wife’s menstrual cycle ends.
   2. If the husband and wife recently have been physically intimate, then the wife must wait until her next menstrual cycle ends.
3. A copy of the State Civil Divorce from the courthouse.
4. Please call the center for an appointment.
5. Print, fill (EXCEPT for signature) the Muslim Divorce form and bring it to the appointment. (Click Divorce Form Print, Fill it out and bring it with you)
